Beyond his vocal prowess, John has collaborated with some of the biggest names in metal, including Hansi Kürsch, Dan Jones (Chelsea Grin), Britney Slayes (Unleash the Archers), Arjen A. Lucassen (Ayreon), and Christian Münzner (Obscura), further establishing his place in the international metal scene. His dedication to his craft and collaborative spirit continue to fuel his creative drive, making him a powerful force in the world of power metal.


Chad Anderson –
Lead Guitars

Chad Anderson is a dynamic force in the American power metal scene, best known for his aggressive riffs, groovy style, and masterful songwriting. As a founding member of the power-prog band Disforia, Chad and John Yelland have shared a musical bond since 2009. Despite Disforia’s eventual dissolution, their connection remained strong, and when Alicia Cordisco left Judicator in 2020, the opportunity to reunite came in 2023.

His contributions as a guitarist and songwriter in Helion Prime between 2016 and 2024 garnered widespread attention, and his talent for crafting aggressive yet melodic music perfectly complements Judicator’s vision. Known for his creativity and collaborative spirit, Chad’s return to work alongside John Yelland marks a powerful chapter in the band’s evolution, fusing years of musical history with fresh energy and innovation.


Dayton Andersen –
Guitars

Dayton Andersen is a highly skilled guitarist whose musical journey has been intertwined with John Yelland since their days in the power-prog band Disforia. Known for his technical prowess and expressive solos, Dayton’s playing was an integral part of Disforia’s sound, earning him recognition as a standout musician. After Disforia’s breakup, Dayton stepped away from the spotlight, but his strong musical rapport with John remained intact.

When Alicia Cordisco left Judicator, John immediately thought of Dayton as one of the first musicians to bring into the fold, given their shared history and the musical chemistry they’d developed over the years. With three former Disforia members now in Judicator, the band has taken on a new life, blending their past influences with fresh energy. Dayton’s return marks a new chapter for Judicator, adding his signature guitar work to the band’s evolving sound.


John “Big Boss” Dolan –
Bass Guitar

John Dolan, known on stage as “Big Boss,” with his signature mustache and dynamic stage personality, has quickly become a standout figure in the power metal community. He brings an undeniable energy to every performance. His time in the traditional metal band Trapmaker from 2021-2023 helped hone his skill as a bassist with a unique sound and style.

On The Majesty of Decay, the first album he recorded with the band, the bass came to the forefront in a way it hadn’t before, and this was widely recognized by reviewers. His heavy, punchy bass lines added a rich new depth to the band’s sound, earning praise for the fresh, bold presence he brought to the music. With Big Boss in the fold, Judicator’s sonic landscape has shifted, giving fans a new dimension of power and groove.


Mike Lofgreen –
Drums

Mike Lofgreen, a powerhouse drummer with over a decade of experience, is known for his exceptional technical skill and deep musicality. Best known for his work in the renowned progressive rock band Advent Horizon, Mike has worked with some of the industry’s finest, including Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater), Dave Meros (Spock’s Beard), Randy McStine (Porcupine Tree), and Jared Hill (Snow Child). His expertise and versatility have made him a staple of Utah’s local rock scene, and his contributions to Judicator bring an elevated level of precision and groove to the band’s sound.

Mike’s background in progressive rock has helped him approach power metal with a unique, sophisticated flair, making him an invaluable asset to the band.
